Young
Persons Radio Academy
supported
by
Following
the success of last year's Academy, young people living in
the Salisbury area will once again be able to participate
in the Young Persons Radio Academy. The scheme aims to teach
the basic skills of broadcasting to under 16's and many of
the programmes and features produced by the Academy will be
heard on-air during our summer broadcast.
The
scheme is open to youngsters in the 11-16 year age group who
have an interest in learning how to become presenters, interviewers
and producers.

Academy
members had the chance to visit Spire FM and Hospital Radio
Odstock.
Above,
members meet Spire FM presenter Martin Starke, whilst below
members get to go on air with Radio Odstcok Chairman David
Langrish

A
series of practical workshops held every other weekend will
teach basic skills in interviewing, presentation, editing
and production..
Confident youngsters
will also have the opportunity to become co-presenters during
the broadcast and perhaps present their own programmes.
The
workshops are staffed by experienced and qualified teachers,
adult helpers and Radio Industry professionals.
Everyone
who attends the Academy workshops will receive a Certificate
of Achievement along with an audio archive of the work they
have produced.
Space
in the Academy is limited.
If you are interested in getting involved complete the on-line
