Future
Projects
The Wiltshire Community Media Foundation
is currently working on a number of broadcasting projects
at this time. Each project is unique and aims to engage
a variety of children, teenagers and adults through its
activities and training programmes.
Some projects will solely act as training exercises; Others
may develop into internet broadcasts and a few may develop
into full RSL stations. The scope of the project depends
on a number of factors including, but not limited to,
the level of funds available, the intended broadcast area
and the type of training programmes required to meet funding
criteria. Some broadcasts may be run solely to cover local
events or to provide exposure of local talent and performers.
In most cases, the underlying objective of our projects
is to provide local people with a chance to learn and
develop new skills in a variety of disciplines.
We are currently working on the following initiatives...
Fuse FM
A proposed RSL / Internet radio station which will provide
exposure of local bands, singers and songwriters. The
station will focus on live music and interviews with local
performers from across Wiltshire.
Further details will be added as they become available
WicKID FM
Following the success of recent broadcasts, plans are
currently underway to broadcast for a limited period of
time during early / mid 2009.
The station will appeal to teenagers and a young audience
base and aims to provide information to listeners on a
wide range of teenage issues. As with previous broadcasts,
the programmes will be presented and produced by local
teenagers with the support of adult mentors.
Please check back regularly for further information on
our planned projects. Details will usually appear in the
local press up to 6 months before the project commences.
